Sad news: 30-year old police officer knocked down at Bresuano
A 30 year old police officer, Corporal Billy K. Fredrick has been knocked down to at death at Bresuano by a speeding vehicle.
Police reports revealed that, the driver of the Mitsubishi Container vehicle with registration number GR 1466-11, Mr. Isaac Koranteng, 50, was heading towards Yeji from Atebubu when the incident happened.
The police say the driver failed to stop after being signaled by the officers at the barrier at Bresuano.
He sped off, running over the deceased officer and killed him instantly.
However, the police chased and nabbed the suspect at Kasei, he is currently in the custody of the police to assist in investigation.
The remains of Corporal Billy K.Fredreck have since been deposited at the St Mathias Hospital Yeji for preservation and autopsy.
