Doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi have threatened to strike on February 1, 2022-Tuesday, over breach of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

They have therefore resolved to embark on strike action over the failure of management to pay their car maintenance allowance and their 13th month pay.

A statement by the doctors to management of the facility sighted by Starr News said they had given management enough time to deal with their concerns but not much has been done.

Their statement revealed that, the finance ministry at a meeting with both parties gave the green light to all facility heads to resolve the concerns of the doctors but according to KATH’s doctors, management have failed to follow suit.

The statement says KATH’s management is moving on ‘ignore them’ mantra, thereby showing no concern to their grievances, hence, their strike action tomorrow.
