KNUST hostel owners increase prices
Hostel owners of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), have increased their hostel prices.
According to a student who agreed to spoke on anonymity with filasconews, his hostel owner told him the increase was necessitated due to fuel increment.

Meanwhile, the President of NUGS, who is a student of KNUST, Mr. Yiadom Boakye Emmanuel in reaction with Filasco Degeneral said, “we’ve reached all angles to get this problem solved but to no avail”.
Mr. Boakye revealed, the National Union of Ghana Students has gotten the opportunity to report the matter to the First Gentleman of the state, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, the Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, the Minister for Housing and the MP for Bantama, Hon. Asenso Boakye and other stakeholders to intervene but it yielded no result.
“Now, we don’t know what to do again as student body. We’ve done all we could to get authorities attention but nothing has happened and hostel owners are doing what only benefit them.
Infact, our brothers and sisters in the private hostels are really suffering”, he stressed.
