Wahala: Queen-mother invokes curse on MCE
Queen Mother of Kwabenya Traditional Area, Naa Korkoi Djugbatey (II) has invoked curse on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for GA East , Hon. Elizabeth Kaakie Mann and the Municipal Assembly for interfering in Kwabenya market Lands.
The MCE and the Municipality incurred the wrath of the Traditional Leaders in Kwabenya after ordering the custodians of lands in Kwabenya to demolish their shrine close to the market.
This decision according to the Traditional rulers in the area, goes against their norms. They are alleging that the Assembly has no authority over them to take their land and asking them to destroying their shrine.
They disclosed to the press today in Kwabenya that, the MCE leading the Assembly has no right to decide what goes on and what must be done at the Kwabenya market, adding that, the Assembly has no power to putting up a structure on the land without the consent of Nananom, hence, their anger.
Nana Korkoi Djugbatey (II), Queen-mother of Kwabenya Traditional Area has confirmed to Filasco Degeneral that, indeed, they have invoked the curse on the MCE and the Assembly.
