You stand tall, but be vigilant with some legislators hailing you- Political Analyst to Dr. Bawumia

A Political Analyst has advised Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia to watch the Members of Parliament hailing with a vigilant eye.

According to the firebrand political analyst and a lecturer at the Prempeh College, Mr. Clement Acheampong, MPs showing massive support for the Vice President to leading the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 are mainly born out of positions.

At the National Delegates conference of the NPP in Kumasi, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, almost all Ashanti Region MPs turned the grounds into an ecstacy grounds after the Vice President’s name was mentioned.

They led him to the podium.

But, this according to the history lecturer, was a sign of a cherished and lovable leader by many but was quick to adding that, some of the legislators might be sycophant in their heart, hence, his called to remain vigilant.

In an exclusive interview with Filasco DeGeneral on Monday, January 3, 2022, Mr. Acheampong admonished to Dr. Bawumia, not to be flattered too much by the sugar-coated words of the so called MPs supporting him, but must focus on his duty as Vice President and his for good works for now, and should not be swayed by their pampering.

“Some of the Members of Parliament are acting obsequiously in order to gain advantage”, he stressed

The Political Analyst accepted the fact that, the Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia stands tall amongst the lists of aspirants vying for the flagbearership position.

“Majority of the NPP MPs have noticed that, Bawumia is the lucky number now, so some are just being hypocrites to get Ministerial positions if won.

That is why I want him to be careful with some of them”, he advised.
