The Assembly member of Asem Electoral Area, Hon. Kusi Serebour has stated that, he will not neglect the coffin makers at Asem but will always stand by them.
The Coffin makers early this week have threated to demonstrate against the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), the assembly member and other high figures within the electoral over their unannounced evacuation from their original.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, the coffin makers accused the Asem Assembly man of coniving with some people to evict them from their place without notification.
They have therefore vowed stage a massive demo against the alleged aforementioned names involve.
But reacting to this, the assembly member of the are, Hon. Kusi it is neither here nor there that, he in conive with some people are evacuating them from the place without notice.
He said, though the makers will move out from, the place for redevelop the place, the assembly will make a new place available for them adding that the project will be in batches hence no worker will lose his occupation.
He promised that, when the time is due for them to move, the assembly will notify them ahead to prepare saying the assembly would bear the cost of the preparation of the new place for them.
Hon. Serebour made this known on Wednesday, December 8,2021, on a Kumasi based Silver FM’s morning show host by Nana Ampratwum.
He added that, the coffin makers will also be returned to their old place after completion of the new project.
“It is not true, I cannot do that…. how can I evict my own people secretly? No! I will make sure we make proper arrangements for them when the time is due to move them”, Hon. Kusi Serebour stressed on the show monitored by filasconews.
