We should start naming and shaming of misbehaved MPs in parliament- Minister
The Minister of State incharge of Works and Housing, Hon. Freda Prempeh, has stated that, leadership of parliament should start naming and shaming of misbehaved legislators in the house.
According to her, some recent behaviours in the house carried by some members of parliament are intolerant and should not be condoned.
Citing the recent happenings in the house over approval of the 2022 budget statement where the seat of the first deputy Speaker of parliament and a member for Bekwai Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu Popularly known Joe Wise was forcibly wheeled from it’s original position by opposition MPs.
Again, the knob of the speaker was wrongly and unlawfully used by an MP in the house over petty scuffle between the legislators from opposite sides.
Reacting to it in an interview with the press on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, Ms. Freda Prempeh called for stringent measures to sanitise the house.
