Evangelist dies by hanging
Evangelist cum phone repairer, Ernest Konadu, popularly known as Yaw Panin has committed suicide by hanging at Ebonmu in a specific area called ‘P3nt3m-twamu’, a suburb of Obogu in the Asante Akim South District of the Ashanti Region.
According to the report, the deceased was also evangelist in the area. He normally preaches at dawn to praise the Almighty.
Narrating the incident to Filasco DeGeneral, the mother of the deceased, Madam Mercy said, his late son informed her that, he is going to sleep in the late hours of Friday, November 26,2021 adding that, “nobody should come and disturb me”, Madam Mercy quoted the deceased.
Mrs. Mercy added that, on 27 November, 2021 i.e Saturday, Ernest was nowhere to be found in the community around 10am.
Therefore, they were compelled to unlock the door to his room after noticing that, the door was locked inside.
And to their surprise, the Twenty Two (22) year old phone repairer was hanged on a ‘jalabia’ rope tied to the cross bar in the room when they entered.
The rope was immediately untied but unfortunately, the phone repairer cum evangelist had already given up his ghost.
The body had since been conveyed by the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and the Police in the area to begin investigation into the sadden incident whiles doctors conduct autopsy on the body.
