Mmerantiehene’s One Week&Funeral: “Hand over to us” – Herbalists appeal to the family
The Association of Herbal Medicine Practitioners in Ghana is appealing to the family of the late Sompa FM’s presenter, Mmerantiehene Kwasi Afari Ketekyew a.k.a Man 88, to hand over the one week observation and the funeral arrangements of the veteran and popular media personality to them.
Mmerantiehene died on the wee hours of Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Manhyia Government Hospital in Kumasi.
According to the report, the ace broadcaster was rushed to the hospital after short illness in the late hours of Friday, after work, but could not survive.
He gave up his ghost in the early hours of the next day.
Coming Saturday will be the one week celebration of the late presenter.
However, the PRO for the Association of Herbal Medicine Practitioners of Ghana’s branch in the Ashanti Region, Agya Amofa on behalf of the Association has today revealed that, the association deems it respectful to organize the funeral of the late presenter.
According to Agya Amofa who also doubles as the CEO of Agya Amofa Herbal Center at Suame Post Office in the Ashanti Region, it is their humble plea to the family of the late to allow the herbal fraternity pay their respect to their beloved by covering his funeral especially the one week observation.
“We know we can’t completely take over the final funeral rites from the family but we wish to be included in the process by the family to exhibit our love for our lost soul”, Agya Amofa said.
He added that, “as for the one week observation, we are pleading on the family to hand over everything to us.
Mmerantiehene has really paid his dues to the herbal medicine industry and has helped a lot of herbal Practitioners to become who they are today”.
The CEO of Agya Amofa Herbal Center finally stressed that, the late Mmerantiehene immensely contributed to the growth and promotion of herbal medicines in the country.
Rest in peace…. Man 88.
