The Ghana Private Road and Transport operators (GPRTU) has stated that, their outfit is not aware of the serculated statement on platforms tagged: “Commercial Transport Operators” which include GPRTU, National Transport Operators, Concerned Drivers Association and Committed Drivers Association.
According to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Association, the purported November 9, meeting does not includes the aforementioned Associations namely National Cargo Transport Operators, Concerned Drivers and Committed Drivers Associations.
Alhaji Sumaila Boakye, Chairman of Ashanti Regional Branch of GPRTU speaking on tomorrow’s meeting on Omanbapa Morning Show on Silver FM monitored by filasconews disowned the Associations saying they are not part of their scheduled meeting tomorrow.
He disclosed during the interview with Nana Ampratwum that, transport fares increase is the major topic that will be discussed in their tomorrow’s meeting but stressed that, “GPRTU have no business with the drivers Associations in our meeting tomorrow”.
