Police arrest five students in connection with form 1 student’s death
The Police say five form two students of Konongo Odumase Senior High School (KOSS) have been arrested in connection with the murder of a form one student in the school on Friday, November 5, 2021 at about 9pm.
The Konongo District Police Commander, DSP Adu Agyemang Duah who confirmed the arrest to the press said, the suspect, Emmanuel Osei Frimpong, form two student of KOSS was arrested at the same night with one other in the hours of 9:50pm with the support of the Assistant Headmaster of the school, Mr. David Kwabena Asare.
Seventeen (17) year old Larhan Sam-una, form one student of KOSS was stabbed to death by Emmanuel Osei Frimpong, a second year student of the school on Friday night.
According to the police, the five second year students after prep hours at about 8:30pm went to house three of the school (form one students dormitory) to bully the first years.
Kwame Manu was the first form one student bullied by these suspects.
The deceased, Sam-una attempted preventing the main suspect, Frimpong from attacking another first year student with Kitchen knife and in the process stabbed him.
Larhan bled profusely and was rushed to the Konongo Odumase Government Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The body has since been conveyed and deposited at the Steward mortuary at Konongo for preservation whiles the five suspects picked up are in the police custody assisting investigation.
