The Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaben Constituency, Hon. Ama Pomaah Boateng has denied the allegation against her that, she paid loosing bonus to some assembly members to reject President’s MCE nominee, Hon. Alexander Sarfo Kantanka, aka Chairman Aluta.
According to Mrs. Ampomah, she would have used that money for something that would be profitable rather than giving it to assembly members to vote against her own President’s choice of MCE nominee in the person, Mr. Kantanka.
She said, this is not the first time she has heard of the rumor, and she had been accused by Chairman Aluta’s supporters even calling out for her position as the Deputy Information Minister.
She noted that, she is not a supporter of Mr. Aluta but since he was nominated by the President of the republic, she didn’t interfere with the process but supported and respected the president’s decision for him to be affirmed but unfortunately that did not happened.
Meanwhile the two times rejected nominee, Chairman Aluta says he’s collecting his monies paid to some assembly members back after the dumbfounding humiliation.
The scene nearly turn into a chaotic center as some peeved youths in the municipality after the election went wrong for them accused some government officials such as the Atwima Nwabiagya South MP, the Regional Minister in the persons of Hon. Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere and Hon. Simon Osei Mensah respectfully.
Hon. Ama Pomaah said, “I understand I’m the easiest target to be accused over his defeat because of our differences and what he did to me during the parliamentary election but was quick to add that, she had no hands in his two times rejection”, Hon. Ama Ampomah Boateng said on a Kumasi based Hello FM on Tuesday, November 2, in reaction to the allegations leveled against her.
She noted that, though she had had issues with Chairman Aluta in the past but did not expected his losing.
