A five year old girl Mary, has met her untimely death today at 7:15am at Asuofua Asamang in Atwima Nwabiagya North District of Ashanti region as building collapsed and killed her instantly.
According to the mother of the deceased Adwoa Pokua, she sent her daughter to go and buy porridge and never returned but only to be told building has collapsed and killed her instantly.
“I gave Mary money to go and buy porridge as she demanded. Whilst I was preparing for church and waiting for her return, I was hit with the sad news that my daughter is dead as building has collapsed and killed her instantly,” she narrated .
Speaking to some occupants of the said collapsed building , the building was under renovation but it was not a death trap to an extent of collapsing so they were really surprised and sad for this unfortunate incident.
Meanwhile, the Asuofua police command has begun investigation and has conveyed the body to Komfo Anokye teaching hospital for autopsy.
